Peer Mentor Program
Peer Mentors are placed at Living Opportunities of DePaul in Erie and Genesee Counties and Bry-Lin Hospital in Buffalo. Various mentoring schedules are established based upon the needs of sites and individual peer mentor availability. A peer mentor works with the individuals on site and provides a range of support, skill building, social and community investigation services tailored to the needs and goals of each participating individual.
Peer Specialists
Peer Specialists are currently working with residents at LeRoy Manor in Leroy, NY. Services are provided to encourage and promote participation in self-help and support groups; community activities and other in-house activities to increase skill development and socialization.
Peer Bridger
Peer Bridgers are currently working in Genesee and Orleans Counties. The Peer Bridger provides support services working with individuals to form trust based relationships that foster hope for positive changes and personal empowerment. Works with individuals to develop goals and identify areas of needs and assists individuals to link to supports and resources within their own community.
